MEOWSQUAD
MEOWSQUAD is a free vertical shoot 'em up where a cat fighter jet takes on swarms of mouse flying saucers, right in the browser on phone or PC.
Mice in flying saucers swoop in, lock into formation and dive at you one by one, firing as they come. Your jet shoots on its own, so you only move to dodge and aim. Yellow bombers drop cheese bombs, and blue helmeted mice take several hits.
The purple saucer carries a caged cat friend. Shoot it down and catch the falling cage, and that cat joins you as a wingman that fires alongside you. Collect all 12 cats, from Ginger and Tuxedo to Calico, and the last boss, the Mouse Emperor, appears.
Every fifth stage brings a boss, and the sky changes from sunset to night, aurora, moon and nebula. In the shop right before each boss, spend coins on rapid fire, spread shot, shields, magnet, bombs and lives. A bomb wipes every enemy bullet off the screen. Fish bonus stages come in between, and after a game over you continue from the same stage.

Frequently asked questions
What are the controls?
Your jet fires on its own; you just move. On a phone, drag anywhere on the screen and the jet follows your finger; use a bomb with the button at the bottom right. On PC, move with the arrow keys or WASD and press B for a bomb.
How do I rescue the cats?
Shoot down the purple saucer and its cage floats down on a parachute. Catch it and that cat becomes a wingman that fires beside you and joins your collection. Up to two wingmen fly with you; they scatter when you lose a life and rejoin on the next stage.
Does it end?
A boss appears every fifth stage. Once all 12 cats are rescued, the next boss stage brings the Mouse Emperor, and beating it unlocks the ending. The stages keep going after that.
Is it hard?
The first stages have few enemies and slow bullets. Buying rapid fire, spread shot, shields or bombs in the shop before each boss helps a lot, and after a game over you can continue from the same stage.
Is it free? Do I need to install anything?
It is free. You can play to the end without paying, and pressing Play now starts it in the browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-up; your progress and collection are saved in that browser.
