LAND GRAB

🎮 Play now

LAND GRAB is a free territory game based on ttangttameokgi, the Korean playground game where you flick a stone to claim land, right in the browser on phone or PC.

Your home is a corner of a square drawn in the dirt. Press, swipe toward where you want it to go and let go to flick your stone. It can stop outside up to two times, and if it gets back home on the third flick, the shape joining those stops fills in as your land. Off the board is OUT; stopping on your rival's land or not getting home is MISS.

Before your first flick you can tap inside your land to move the stone, so you can set out from the far edge of the land you already own. After 10 rounds the bigger territory wins, and taking more than half the board wins on the spot.

Alone, you climb stages against the computer, which gets more accurate with every win. Press 2 PLAYERS to take turns on one device. Big grabs pop NICE, GREAT and PERFECT.

Frequently asked questions

What are the controls?

Press and swipe toward where you want the stone to go, then let go. The longer the swipe, the further it slides. Before your first flick you can tap inside your own land to move the stone there. Use a finger on a phone and the mouse on a PC.

How do I claim land?

Start from your land, stop outside up to two times, and get back to your land on the third flick. The empty land inside the shape joining your start, your stops and your return becomes yours. Off the board is OUT; stopping on your rival's land or not getting home is MISS, and the turn passes.

How do I win?

After 10 rounds, one flick turn each per round, whoever owns more land wins. Take more than half the board at any point and you win right away. Land cannot be taken back, so claiming big early pays off.

Is it hard? Can two people play?

The stage 1 computer has shaky hands and often slides off the board or misses home. Each win takes you to the next stage with a slightly more accurate rival, and the stages never end. Press 2 PLAYERS to take turns with a friend on one phone or PC.

Is it free? Do I need to install anything?

It is free. No payments, and pressing Play now starts it in the browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-up; your furthest stage is saved in that browser.
