POCKET BALL Pool Game
POCKET BALL is a free browser pool game where you play 8 ball against 12 computer players, one after another. No download, it starts right in your browser.
Your opponents run from the guy next door to the pool hall owner, 12 in all. The first three are race to one, and later ones are race to two and race to three. They miss less as you go, and the stronger ones plan where the cue ball will stop for the next shot. Beat the owner and you see the ending.
In play mode there is no aiming line, so you judge the angle yourself. The harder you pull the cue, the harder the shot, and where you hit the cue ball adds follow, draw or side spin. The ball clicks, cushion hits and pocket drops are real pool recordings.
In lesson mode you play alone. The cue lines up on an easy ball for you, and lines show where the object ball and the cue ball will go. Clear the table and the balls are racked again. 2P lets two people take turns on one screen.

Frequently asked questions
What are the 8 ball rules here?
The first player to pocket a ball takes solids (1 to 7) or stripes (9 to 15). Pocket all of yours, then pocket the black 8 ball to win.
What happens if I pocket the 8 ball early?
If you still have balls left, you lose the game. You also lose if the cue ball drops on the same shot as the 8. An 8 ball pocketed on the break goes back on its spot.
What happens when the cue ball drops?
It is a foul. Your opponent takes the turn and can place the cue ball anywhere on the table. Missing every ball or hitting the other player's ball first is the same foul.
How many opponents are there and how many games do I need?
12. Opponents 1 to 3 are race to one, 4 to 8 are race to two, and 9 to 12 are race to three. Lose and you can challenge the same opponent again.
Where do I see the aiming line?
Only in lesson mode. In play mode and 2P you only see where the cue points and line up the shot yourself.
Does it end?
Beat the last opponent, the pool hall owner, and the ending plays. Press THE END to start again from the first opponent.
