Drunken Fist: Sochan is a free side-scrolling beat 'em up where a young brawler named Sochan gets stronger the more he drinks and knocks out thugs with drunken fist kung fu. It runs in your browser with no download.
Punch (J) chains up to five hits, and the fourth and fifth hits launch enemies into the air. Hold punch to charge an uppercut, and kick (K) pushes enemies back. Double-tap a direction to dash, and punch while dashing for a flying kick. Press punch and kick together to spray wine and blast every enemy in front of you. Hold S to crouch and block, cutting the damage from attacks in front.
Drink (L) to raise your buzz and recover a little health. One bottle loosens you up for stronger attacks. Two bottles make you truly drunk: attacks do more than double damage and your kick turns into a handstand kick. Three bottles unleash the Drunken Fist: for five seconds you float in the air lying sideways, strike every enemy that comes close and take no damage. Wine bottles drop from broken jars and sometimes from defeated enemies.
Eight stages run from the mansion gate, market street, beggar alley, gambling den, river dock and mountain pass to the magistrate's office and the tournament. Every stage has its own boss: a bandit chief with a broadsword, a market bully with a spiked mace, a beggar king with a bamboo staff, a gambling den master who throws iron dice, a giant boatman with an oar, a mountain bandit with twin axes, a general with a spear and a bare-handed master in black. Clear stage 8 for the champion ending, then keep fighting from stage 9 against ever tougher bosses and thugs. Progress is saved in your browser.
