🎮 Play now

GAME FOR CAT is a tap game where things race around the screen and squeak and pop when you tap them. Made for cats and toddlers. Free, in the browser, no install.

Press START and one thing appears: a fish, a butterfly, a ball, a star, a heart, a mouse, a bug, a feather, a red dot or a ball of yarn. It races around the screen, turning back without warning, bouncing off the walls, looping in figure eights, or pausing and then darting off. Tap it with a finger or a paw and it squishes, squeaks, bursts into little hearts and is replaced by something else.

There is always exactly one thing on screen. Pop it and another appears, and if it is left alone for a while it leaves on its own and another comes. There are no stages, no end and no game over, so once you press START for your cat there is nothing more to touch. The big fish, ball and star move at an easy pace for toddlers, while the small mouse, bug and red dot move fast for cats. Hit detection is generous, so a near miss still counts, and tapping empty space makes a ripple and a soft pop.

The only button is the sound toggle, and the screen stays awake while the game runs. Pinch zoom and long press are blocked, so a paw on the screen cannot change anything. The sounds are generated by the browser rather than loaded from files, so once the page is open it keeps working without a connection. It suits a tablet lying flat on the floor and works in portrait or landscape.

Good for — anyone who lives with a cat, anyone sharing a tablet with a toddler who cannot read yet, and anyone who wants a game with no buttons at all. Nothing is saved.

Frequently asked questions

What are the controls?

Tap the moving thing with a finger or a paw. On PC, click it. The only button is the sound toggle, and there is no game over.

Do cats actually react?

Every cat is different. The mouse, the bug and the red dot are sized and paced for a cat to chase, and a paw tap makes the sound right away. A screen protector helps against claws.

Can a toddler play?

Yes. The big fish, ball and star move at an easy pace and a near miss still counts. There is no text and no button, so just press START for them.

Will the screen turn off or zoom?

The screen stays awake while the game runs, and pinch zoom and long press are blocked. The home button and notifications cannot be blocked, so a tablet is easier than a phone.

Is anything saved?

No score is kept. Only the sound setting is stored in the browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
